NAFTI Student Feature in UMBGTA Nomination List.

A student of the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI), Mr Joseph Clef Aboah has received nomination for the 2017 Universal Merchant Bank Ghana Tertiary Awards (UMBGTA) for taking an initiative in the suicide campaign and many others.

He has therefore been nominated for the category ,Most influential Student in Film /Video Editing / Directing (MED).

These year 2017 edition of the UMBGTA was launched on the theme “Mobilizing for Ghana’s future the role of Tertiary Students” at the Airport view Hotel in Accra on Saturday 22nd April, 2017.

The UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards is the biggest student Awards ceremony which is organized to support and promote students whose lives and contribution have changed the society in the area of their work even though they are students.

As a student specializing in Film Directing,Mr Joseph Clef Aboah has singled handedly setup a production house named Classic Film Production as a means of campaigning against suicide. He did this by producing a drama and organizing health walk as away of sending message across to the youth, after realizing how rampant suicide has become among tertiary students respectively in the country.

Joseph Clef Aboah is a Film Directing student who is currently enrolling in a Diploma course at NAFTI. The Institute wishes him the best in the 2017 Universal Merchant Bank Ghana Tertiary Awards which is been slated for 24th November, 2017 at the National Theater in Accra.
